Behaviour

We strongly believe that children have rights and responsibilities for both themselves and others.

We have clear, consistent expectations of children’s behaviour and believe in the positive reinforcement of good behaviour.

Good behaviour is rewarded in a number of ways including – smilies awarded in class, certificates awarded in assembly and class points awarded at lunchtime.  A system of consequences is in place beginning with reminders of expected behaviour through to the use of a sanctions book, loss of free time and parental involvement.

Our Code of conduct is –

  • Take Care of Yourself
  • Take Care of Others
  • Take Care of Our School

These basic rules are simplified and displayed in all classrooms and corridors and regularly verbalised to all pupils.
